[headcanons] Mobius ‘tree husband update: hes still a tree.’ M mobius 1/2
A branch fell on him once and he deadass said ‘alright, babe, I get it, message received.’
If he ever gets a splinter, he just winces and whispers, ‘damn, babe, not so rough.’ Everyone around him wants to be dead.
Started carrying around a little notebook labeled “Field Guide to My Husband” where he sketches out particularly impressive trees. When asked about it, he says he’s “cataloging Lokis moods.”
Once dramatically pressed his hand against a tree and whispered, “Miss you, babe.” A family walked by. A child started crying.
Gets visibly upset when someone talks about “cutting down” problems. “You don’t cut things down. You let them grow. You nurture them. My husband would have said the same.”
He 100% starts a collection of random twigs and leaves he finds on his desk. Won’t throw them out. “Could be from him,” he says. It’s from a completely unrelated indoor plant.
He has started slipping tree metaphors into casual conversation. “Yeah, we’re all just growing at our own pace, y’know? Some of us are oaks, some of us are willows, some of us are-” B-15 leaves the room.

Information on pruning overgrown plants.
Your goals are to have adequate air flow throughout the plant, remove diseased or dead branches, and have good light penetrating the entire plant.
Remove any branch that is rubbing against another. This can cause an open wound on the branch, which is an opportunity for disease to invade the plant.
Remove branches that are growing toward the center of the plant. Also, remove any branches that cross each other. Remember we want to provide both air circulation and light penetration.
Remove any dead or diseased branches. A dead branch will be brittle, its buds will be brown. While a live branch will be flexible, buds will be green and there will be a green layer under the bark.
Generally, remove 1/3 of the plants’ height or 1/3 of its branches.
Remove any suckers and or waterspouts. These 2 types of branches look similar, growing straight up. However, a sucker originates from the roots or below the graft. While the waterspout will be vigorous and originate from the trunk or large branches.
Here is some additional information:

Bleeding Aspens
These aspens are dealing with some deep wounds. Winter may be over, but the hardships of the snow and cold are revealed in the thaw. Not all will spring back to life. Not all will bud out green again.
Aspens usually do not have red sap except when infected with disease. I do not know what ails these trees but it is causing them to literally bleed!
I feel them.
